Historical Heritage Commission The Historical Heritage Commission (HHC) was established by the Board of Supervisors to protect, preserve, and promote historic resources within Santa Clara County. Planning Commission The Planning Commission is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and is the primary decision-making authority for certain development applications. It also advises the Board of Supervisors on various land-use policy matters. Applicants' Roundtable A forum to advise applicants of upcoming changes in County policies, explain and clarify current policies, and gain feedback and suggestions regarding our process and policies. San Martin Planning Advisory Committee A committee to serve in an advisory role for development and land use concerns in the San Martin Planning Area. South County Joint Planning Advisory Committee A committee to serve in an advisory role for development and land use concerns in the southern area of Santa Clara County. This committee is a joint venture between the County, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and the area of San Martin. State Minimum Fire Safe Regulation Appeals The County has recently adopted an ordinance to more effectively implement State Minimum Fire Safe Regulations, which apply to lands designated as in the State Responsibility Area (SRA). Zoning Administration Zoning Administration is a function of the Planning Office including the conduct of public hearings and issuance of permits required under the Zoning Ordinance, including Design Review, Special Permit, and Variance.
