Fire Marshal Permits and Clearances
County Fire Marshal Office Permit Application
The County of Santa Clara, Permit Center is only accepting electronic Fire Marshal submittals, as paper plan sets cannot be reviewed at this time.
Construction & Hazardous Materials Permits
We review plans for fire and life safety through the Building Permit process, as well as issuing Fire Code Permits, such as Fire Protection Systems.
Commercial Kitchen Hood & Duct Extinguishing System Permits
Minimum submittal and inspection requirements are listed for these Fire Code Permits issued by the Fire Marshal's Office.
Minor System Modifications Program
Program provides an expedited permit process for fire sprinkler or fire alarm system modifications of such limited scope that reviewing plans prior to permit issuance is of little benefit.
Fire Code Construction Permit Expiration Guidelines
The purpose of this requirement is to provide guidelines for setting, tracking, extending and expiring Fire Code permits issued by the Fire Marshal. (This will not affect non-construction-related permits, such as tents, canopies, Special Events or Fireworks displays.)
